STARTER PROBLEM FOR MY 94 3000GT SL?? please help...?

okay here's the problem...when i insert the key into ignition and turn it on, it makes a starting noise but slowly fading away until it was like breathing hard to just start...(i hope you guys know what i mean about that)...i know i don't have the problem with my starter because if i do it will not start...but the thing is i need to hold it down for 10-15sec. until it starts and need to do it several times...please help me...by the way i just swap my engine into JDM...and my transmission is manual though...please help me.....

It's not your starter. It could be a few things. It could be a busted tooth on the fly wheel. It could be a bad coil and distributor it could be fuel injection. Lack of info. Does it stall after it's started? Is there any unusual color smoke from tail pipe, hesitation in the engine? Does the engine shake when it starts?
