Marine Diesel Engine Transmissions

need a transmission for a marine navistar turbo diesel 7.3?

I just bought a 7.3 navistar turbo diesel and need to look for a transmission that will connect my engine with the shaft. The only problem is that i don't know what kind of transmission that i need, what ratio and who provides it?? My boat is a 25 feet with a direct drive under it!!
Any suggestion

Your best bet is to discuss this with Navistar. The gear ratio will be 1:1 up to 1.5:1 and I'd bet that a Velvet drive (B-W) will be what you end up with, but that's a lot of power so you might be looking at something bigger. Good Luck!
