Clicking around turns, I thought it was the CV Joint?
My husband and I own a 99 Jeep Grand Cherokee, and when we had the transmission replaced a few months ago, we learned that the CV Joints/Boots needed replacing.
About two weeks ago, we finally got the job done. Both driver and passenger sides were replaced with remanufactured CV half-shafts.
It's strange though, because occasionally when making sharp right turns, we still hear clicking. Could it be that the remanufactured part I purchased is no good? Or is there something else under the truck that could cause the clicking.
Any advice is greatly appreciated.
We did the work ourselves.
Yes, the brake pads were replaced in mid-July. We had to take off the calipers to get to the CV axle and the pads/calipers still look good.
remanufactuered parts are just that helps every one with price but every now and then you get a bad one if the auto garage that you had it installed at bought it then they will more than likely cover for free if you bought the part you re self they will probably give you a new one where you bought it but the shop will charge you to put it in
