How much should it cost to repair a hole in the bottom of the transmission/oil (?) pan of a 2007 Chevy Cobalt?

I thought it was the oil pan, but they are trying to tell me it was the transmission. It sure looked like oil coming out to me.

these are normally aluminum(cast) and normally crack when hit(I'm assuming you've hit something,if not it should be under your 3year,36k factory warranty(possibly under the 100k portion).if it s got a clean hole in it you may be able to use jb weld on smaller holes otherwise figure apx 400.00 to replace(trans fluid and oil look very similar(if clean))
